The Colorado AIDs project (CAP) was founded by the Gay and Lesbian Community Center of Colorado (GLCCC) in 1983 to support those affected by the disease. In May 1984, CAP separated from GLCCC and became incorporated as the Colorado Health Network, Inc. CAP offers a variety of client services and educational programs. Ellis McFadden was born in Denver, Colo. on Aug. 25, 1949. He graduated from Western State University in 1972 and worked for Western Mountain Bell. In 1985, he managed a branch of US West Learning Systems Division Library. McFadden has been a volunteer with the Colorado AIDS Project since its inception in 1983.
